Victoria Falls Zimbabwe is the most visited side of the
falls because it offers a lot to the visitor. The locals call it “Mosi-Oa-Tunya”- the smoke that thunders.
Not only does it offer a choice of over 17 hotels and lodges to stay, but it
also provides the best view of the natural landscape, rich game reserves, wild
life safaris and a variety of activities for the traveler. The limited
development in the areas close to the falls on the Zimbabwean side allows
visitors to see the beauty of Africa in its natural form.
Development has been restricted to the areas around the town
of Victoria Falls far from the rainforest, to ensure that the Victoria Falls
(one of the Seven Wonders of the World) retains its status as a World Heritage
Natural site. The town of Victoria Falls is served by an international airport,
which makes it easy to fly directly to the town.
